Thousands of people gathered in central Helsinki - with some brave revelers stripping down to their underwear to splash in the Havis Amanda fountain!


Thousands of ice hockey fans descended to the Market Square in Helsinki on Sunday night to celebrate their teams’ 3-1 win over Canada to claim a third World Championship title.

Surrounding streets were blocked with cars honking their horns as passengers hung out the windows waving flags.

The Havis Amanda statue was the focal point of the exuberant carousing as dozens of people stripped down to their underwear to swim in the fountain.
