Finland’s Lions Trump America On Ice

Finland continues the trend of beating giants, and losing to not-so-great teams this year!

The Finnish men’s ice hockey team has pulled off a remarkable victory over America at the Ice Hockey World Championships.

The Lions triumphed 6-2 against USA.

It comes after a 5-1 victory against Canada, another hockey powerhouse nation.

Now, the Finns will skate into the quarter finals as Group B leaders, and face Switzerland in the next round.

Finnish forward Sebastian Aho is at the top of the goal scoring list so far at these World Championships, which are taking place in Denmark.

Aho has so far scored 17 goals, the first Finn ever to score so many at a World Championship. His team mate Teuvo Teravainen is ranked third on the list of top goal scorers.
