Almost 900,000 people have already cast their ballots in advance of Sunday’s European Parliament elections.
The numbers will certainly change once advance votes from abroad are counted and added to the total.
In the previous European Parliament elections in 2014, the corresponding figure at the end of advance voting was 17.% so this represents an increase.
Looking more closely at different parts of the country, the highest advance turnout was in Helsinki, with 26%. The lowest was in Åland with 12%.
