The latest figures from Statistics Finland show an ongoing improvement in the country’s employment situation.
The latest data reflects an increase in the number of people employed during May, and shows a continued drop in the number of registered unemployed people as well.
Figures show 32,000 more people were employed during May compared to one year earlier. At the same time, there were 12,000 fewer unemployed people.
That makes Finland’s employment rate 72.6% and the unemployment rate 6.6% – half a percentage point lower than one year ago.
