A winning lottery ticket worth €92 million has arrived safely at Veikkaus headquarters in Helsinki.

The valuable slip of paper belongs to a syndicate of 50 people in the small town of Siilijärvi in eastern Finland.

The group came up trumps in last Friday’s Eurojackpot lottery, scooping the biggest ever prize in Finland.

“I am delighted to announce that we have this tremendously valuable document. So now you no longer have to worry about the fate of this valuable paper” says Veikkaus spokesperson Pipsa Öhman.

The lucky winners get the whole lump sum of their winnings, there’s no option to take installments, and Veikkaus has already paid the taxes.

The ticket was bought at a K-Supermarket in Siilinjärvi and there will be giving coffee and cake to the first thousand people who show up at 10:00 on Friday morning to celebrate.
