Police in Eastern Finland are searching for a man who went missing on Friday.
Officers say the 65-year-old left his home during the evening, and was last seen riding his bicycle from Kiihtelysvaara to Oskola, south east of Joensuu.
Weekend searches already turned up several pieces of evidence for the investigation.
“We found his glasses, they were identified by relatives. We found them on Saturday evening near a lake, and yesterday [Sunday] in searches where we used divers, we found his bicycle in a nearby lake” says Detective Chief Inspector Kimmo Wetterstrand.
Police are continuing the search today, and although they’re still treating it as a missing person case, divers are searching the water and specially trained cadaver dogs are being used.
“We do not suspect a crime in this case, we don’t have any information regarding suspicious activities” Wetterstrand tells News Now Finland.
