One lucky lottery ticket has scooped a €10 million prize after Saturday night’s draw.
The winning ticket was bought at a K-Market in east Helsinki’s Roihuvuori neighbourhood, and the lucky number combination was 8, 10, 19, 28, 34, 36 and 40. The bonus balls were numbers 4 and 16.
The lottery player used their Veikkaus card when they bought the ticket which means the winnings are automatically credited to their account after a three week waiting period – and after they’ve verified their identity, of course!
The biggest lottery win this year was €15.5 million – which is also the biggest domestic lottery win ever in Finland – with a ticket bought in Lohja.
Another €10 million win came in July with a ticket bought in Lapua.
Next week’s lottery draw starts fresh with a prize pot of €1.2 million.
In August a syndicate of players in the small town of Siilinjärvi scooped €92 million on the Eurojackpot lottery which operates in 18 different European countries.
