Police now say 16 passengers on board a tourist bus were slightly injured when the drive became ill, and crashed into a tree on Helsinki’s Mannerheimintie on Wednesday morning.
All the passengers on the bus were from Finland.
Officials say the driver of the bus is in serious condition at a local hospital.
Traffic going north on Mannerheimintie was diverted while emergency responders attended to the crash. Police expect the clear-up operation to be over by 4pm on Tuesday afternoon.

A bus with 41 tourists on board has driven off the road and hit a tree in Helsinki.
Police report the bus driver was seriously injured in the crash, and several passengers were injured as well.
The accident happened just after 10am on Wednesday morning, and authorities say they believe the bus driver was taken ill before the crash.
Helsinki Police updated their Twitter account to say traffic has been diverted while the clearance operation is underway. They expect Mannerheimintie to reopen early Tuesday afternoon.
