Hundreds of passengers have to wait or find alternative transport arrangements from Finland to Brussels today, after Belgium closed its airspace to flights.
There’s no flights at all going to or from Brussels between 23:00 last night and 23:00 tonight after air traffic controllers went on strike in the Belgian capital.
Eight flights are affected today, but there’s a chance that tonight’s sheduled Finnair departure flight AY1549 at 22:05 could take off with a delay, if it would arrive in Brussels after the end of the strike. However, this is not yet certain.
The strike was called by Belgian trade unions in a dispute over wages.
