Police searching for a missing conscript, have arrested a man in connection with her disappearance.

Milla Aronen, 21, was last seen on Saturday 8th June in Somero when a relative dropped her at home. She had been expected to return to her military service at Pori Brigade at the end of the weekend but never showed up.

Her family reported her missing a few days later.

The National Bureau of Investigation said this week they believed Aronen had been the victim of a homicide and were actively looking for information about cars she may have been in around the time she went missing.

Finnish media reports that according to court records a 24-year old man from Somero was arrested last week in connection with Milla Aronen’s disappearance and probably homicide.

Police think she was killed the same weekend she went missing and have made a renewed appeal for anyone who saw her 2001 Volkswagen Golf KPJ 506; or a silver 2003 Volvo V70 in the Somero area in early June to get in touch with them.

Although there is someone in custody, the National Bureau of Investigation is still looking at the circumstances around her disappearance, what happened to her, and where her body might be now.
