A Finnair flight heading to Shanghai didn’t even get off the ground thanks to the antics of a drunken passenger.

Police say a drunk, middle-aged Norwegian man was behaving aggressively towards the crew on the Thursday flight, and didn’t obey instruction even as the plane trundled down the runway heading for takeoff, and it’s long flight to China.

Although nobody was injured on board, the flight crew decided the Norwegian man’s behaviour was not acceptable, and turned the plane around back to the terminal, where police removed the unruly passenger.

The passenger was fined for his behaviour.

Finnair tells News Now Finland the flight was delayed by 30 minutes due to the incident.
