Finnish pop sensation Alma is set to play some of Europe’s biggest venues when she joins global superstar Christina Aguilera on her upcoming UK tour.
Alma – whose full name is Alma-Sofia Miettinen – made the announcement on her social media channels, saying it was an “honour” to support Aguilera on ‘The X Tour’.
“So much big news coming!! First up super excited to share I’ll be supporting the amazing @xtina in her upcoming UK tour” writes Alma.
The tour hits Glasgow, Manchester and two dates in London in early November.
Alma and Aguilera crossed paths this past summer at the Pori Jazz Festival when both played the same stage on the same night, just a couple of hours apart.
Alma’s manager Antti Kosonen is quoted in Finnish media saying Aguilera took the initiative to invite Alma to join the tour.
The 23-year old from Kuopio first found fame as a contestant on the Finnish version of Idol back in 2013.
After that he was signed to Universal Music Group and enjoyed hits across Europe in 2016.
Alma has collaborated with other stars like Charli XCX, Tove Lo, French Montana and Miley Cyrus; and is known for her signature bright green or yellow hair.
