Two of the busiest stations on the Helsinki metro network are still closed on Friday afternoon, following a torrential deluge that flooded an equipment room.
HSL says the metro is suspended between Ruoholahti in the west, and Helsinki University in the east meaning that Kamppi and Central Railway stations remain closed.
Rescue crews are pumping water out of the flooded area at Central Railway Station following the heavy rain and it’s not clear how long the clean-up efforts will take.
Passengers trying to reach the two city centre metro stops have to take trams or buses - check the HSL website for the latest details on replacement services.
