Police in Helsinki have launched a search for one suspect after his estranged wife, their three children, and a family friend were involved in a stabbing incident in the city.
It happened on Sunday afternoon outside a building in the capital’s Haaga neighbourhood, and police say that two adults and one child were stabbed, while two other children were injured in the attack.
Finnish media reports that the address is on Santavuorentie is a child protection facility, but police aren’t saying if that is linked to the attack, or if the family were clients there.
According to officials, none of the injuries is life threatening, and while they know the identity of the 34-year old man they’re looking for, police do not consider him a danger to other people at this time.
Police promised to release more information on Monday.
