Iconic Finnish mobile phone brand Nokia had a breakthrough in September as all five models of their new phones made it on the most popular devices-
The top 15 best selling phone list at retailer DNA is dominated by Nokia and Samsung with five models each. Huawei had four models; and iPhone had one.
The top three most popular phones in Finland in September were:
- Nokia 6
- iPhone 7
- Honor 8
“Nokia 6 took the lead in the list, customers have really taken to the new Nokia product” says Sami Aavikko, DNA Trading’s Managing Director.
“But it is clear that Nokia will not get anything for free. Consumers will compare and evaluate devices very closely at the time of purchase” he says.
The race between the different phone models is tight, and with the exception of the Nokia 6, none of the phones have a particular clear lead over their next rivals.
“In the Finnish telecoms market, there are some great developments right now, with new brands coming in and even fighting for the top spots, and at a time, Huawei quickly became a major player at the market as a whole, and now Nokia is back. Both Nokia and Huawei are bringing more and more amazing devices to the market” says Sami Aavikko.
DNA Trade is Finland’s largest mobile phone shop, with more than 60 stores around the country.
